It's not spyware or viruses, I'm almost sure of.

I would do a Reformat, but I don't feel like going through the 5 hours of putting ---- back on, etc.

Every so often I do scan disks and disk defrags, but my speed for things never seem to change.

You guys have any thing I could do to help remedy?

Maybe a good free or trial defrag? Anything that will help.

    Thanks in advance.

It's fine for the internet, well mostly, but sluggish for PS.

I have Road Runner/Cable, so my internet connection shouldn't be a factor in this.

Like my Ping for COD4 on Recommended Settings is unusually high.

A world far beyond your imagination...
Looks like you have too much crap on that HD
If I am not wrong you got 8 GB out of 80GB left on the HD?

Try cleaning out unneeded folders and or applications
Use an External HD to backup some stuff and delete off the HD

Also Defrag and Run Avast Antivirus Scan on the PC to see if it has any spyware (I know you are certain that spyware isn't the problem here but still different programs use different techniques to figure that part out)

Use Crap Cleaner to clean out your registry and your Temp Files also look for start up programs and auto starts
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Use MSconfig and Turn off some unnecessary Services and Start Up Programs

    Overall
I would just say the easiest solution to this problem would be to backup your stuff and reformat your HD
...It happened to me when I had vista then I reformatted a week ago, and now my computer is lightening fast...
    On a C2D 1.66Ghz with 2GB RAM

    So yeah...

save stuff to secondary partition next time.

NOTHING should ever be saved to primary partition unless it's an absolute necessity.

time for me to reinstall .. 30 mins of which msot is automated

And of course, adding RAM is always the answer! xD

If you plan on playing games, 2GB is perfect for now. No games really need/use more than 2GB.
But for PS and stuff, RAM would help.

But other than that, I would clean up the harddrive. If I could remember the name of the program, I would tell you. It is really usefull and simple to clean out Hard Drive with it.

    I have 2 Harddrives

    Harddrive #1 - 1.5GB out of 75G left
    Harddrive #2 - Around 900MB out of 300GB <----- All games

    Amen.

    And "Harddrive #2 - Around 900MB out of 300GB <----- All games"
Off FreeSpace? Damn, get a new HD. hehe <3

xlink always has it right, and he always posts before me. You should clear out stuff, use CCleaner, ( as already stated by zain (Zainu) )

Another reason I can't reformat all willy nilly as such, is because this is a custom computer, so in order for me to reformat it I'd have to take it back to the person who made it for me for them to reformat... And since he's normally busy, it'd be several days...

I'm guessing you don't know how to do it. It's pretty simple if you have the CD, and follow the steps. Just make sure you save all files you want to be saved somewhere, burn them to a DVD, a different HDD is my choice, or something.

I was at school when I wrote that, Harddrive #2 acually has 372MB XD
    #2 has 1.14GB

But, now that I am home, try SpaceMonger

    Works really well.
