My 2nd Template

Alright this is my 2nd template ever makin and i was wodnering what yall thought about it and what i can do in the future to make it better so yeah just post a few comments im up for critism (I learn from it) and im up for compliments (Hopefully there will be some )

 

Don't use bevels, use gradients to give it that effect. Look at some tutorials at

www.pixel2life.com

They should help you out

 

Bevels? i never even heard of bevels... :S all i used was the gradient tool

EDIT: Oh wait i know what u mean nevermind

 

You beveled your nav.

My opinion, start over, can't say anything on that design looks good.

 

Can someone please explain to me wh y i wud have to start over cause i "Beveled"???

 

bevel things it's bad, very bad .... :scary: .... use inner shadow to make the same effect

 

Don't start over just re-do the beveled buttons.

 

i use bevel sometimes.. its not bad if you KNOW how to use it.. strong deep bevels are nasty but sometimes you can get a nice smooth effect if you lower the opacity of the shades and stuff

 

The background, text, and buttons don't look good.

And it's too blue.

 

You shud start again....bevel = disaster

 

Yea i see the diffrence between "beveled" and "Gradient" i am gonna start all over, im gonna do some tuts get me used to gradients thanks for your help guys

 

Everytime the same brushes its to the same...

 

The buttons aren't too good. Neither are the headers for the content boxes. I find it hard to believe you could create a great brushed background like that, and have a crappy header and nav links.

 

light bevels look good sometimes, but even then you shouldnt use them.

 

Theres nothing great about the bg
