How big is your folder? I used to have 1gb music folder but that was it. Never had much problems opening it.

is it possible he has so much music and not enough ram to process the viewing of that entire folder?

I remember on my old comp with all my added fonts it took forever to load up but with my new comp it flies open.

Maybe you should defrag your harddrive, that'll probably help. I got about 35gig's of mp3.
