ok. UT3 and Halo 3, are both amazing looking games, but i think UT3 will blow it away totally, UT has been a BIG FPS and so far BEST out there yet, its also fast paced which is also very sweet. Vote up tell us your thoughts!!! and yes, im buying UT3 and NOT HALO!!!
Halo 3 is going to win it. Believe it or not, Halo 3 is a much more popular game, even though it's been out for about half the time that UT has. Halo has popularized itself in a way, that many people who don't even care for FPS, will play it, and enjoy it. Many FPS players, like myself, don't care for incredibly fast paced, twitch games. Halo is more about timing and thinking, rather than twitching and kill stealing. It's got an overall more slow paced play, but when you are actually fighting, you have to think on your feet. This isn't to say that UT doesn't have skill. UT has a different kind of skill, that doesn't seem to cater to the majority of FPS players, however the players that fall within it's niche, are there forever.
UT seems to have uber gamers playing it and is tough, any monkey and his dog is playing H3 so a lot more cannon fodder
you do have a point halo IS popular, but UT also has ALOT of skill, dont get me wrong halo may be about thinking defeat and your next kill but so is unreal, but more fast paced. I had Halo 1 & 2, and i sold them because i don't like the speed at all. You can also fix the speeds to what you like for game play, In Halo I realized you cannot. cheers
Imo I think UT 3 is a lot better, only reason why it isnt as popular because its on the PS3 and PC. For the PC you need a pretty powerful system to play it and most people are 14-20+ play halo and its overall a lot cheaper and the game has a lower learning curve.
I don't like deathmatch and team deathmatch in UT. I only like the game types that require strategy. I'd rather play Halo 3.
I am not able to come to a conclusion because both games are very well rounded. I own Halo 3 and have always been a fan since Halo. Unreal tournament 3 is a great looking game. I might consider buying it if it's as good as they say. Draw.
