Sorry was away for a while. I live in Asia anyway. Is there a slightly better videocard or motherboard. Looking from the price of the video card and memory , doesn't look too good (128MB and 39.99). Probably I want something which can play Heroes MM V , Guild Wars : Factions and etc.(not too high-end). I know 6200 can't work on BF2. I think the motherboard is fine , but a better video card? It has not reached my budget yet. I'm just hoping it fits into my PC ...
6200 PCI-E wont play BF2? Bull----, I play BF2 on my 5700, it's on low though but the gameplay is fine. Just to clear this up: you want us to get a motherboard and videocard for your old processor, ram and hdd or just a complete new one? Please post your $ budget.
I don't know about the BF2 part though , I just saw somewhere that the requirement shows GeForce 6600. Maybe it meant something like recommended settings but maybe the 6200 is slightly lower-end. Anyway I don't know much ... Oh yeah , my problem is pretty cleared up but I'm just sad to find out at a PC shop that my mobo is really ----.( No PCI-E and can't support DDR2 ). If I have to change it , I gotta change almost everything in the PC , which I don't have the cash. Currently it's on the process of being repaired. I found out the problem wasn't the mobo , but the RAM jacked into my motherboard. It wasn't compatible and caused quite a lot of problems. The cooling fan in my CPU was a fake by Acer. The shopkeeper said that it was suppose to be an Intel-type but I was using a random crap manufactured by some unknown company. The fan got hot very fast , which is sort of bad. The PC I bought wasn't even meant for gaming. I got a new fan. I paid for quite a hefty amount , but I can't afford to spent much until end of next year after my studies. around 180USD for the following ... $18 for manpower $85 for graphics card ( AGP GeForce 4400 128MB) $37 for a new cooling fan , it's black but can't remember the brand $53 for 2 x 256MB RAM , normal DDR but not sure of the speed I think it's around there ... I'm really back to a low-end PC. It was said to run slightly better. Also , is it worth getting the 4400 for 256MB RAM ? I'm really sad so bah. I wanna thank those who helped me , mostly xelink and devast. I'm not sure what I've typed. If I need more help , I'll refer back.
well, glad things seem to have worked out for you... and when you say 4400... you mean the GeForce 4400 right? umm I'd say it's close if you mean $/$ comparison... but ou really would want half a gig of ram in your system... and the 6200 is on par with the 5700 and should be around the same price, 6200 is about the cheapest thing there is... I got one and I must say I am pleasantly surpised by what it is capable of. sorry I wasn't more responcive, I mean I was but not as much as possible... I'm not omnipotent
