    yeah css is wonderful but extremly compicated once you start using seperate style sheets in different files for the same page :s

    That wasn't needed though. He could of done it all in the one stylesheet.

    Yea thebanner isn't great, but those images are just there for show :) I will ahve template previews in place of those, which will change every so often.

    Btw, when aligning an image, which is part of the content (xhtml) what artribute do you use to align it ? I usually just do align="left" (right or center) but thats not valid XHTML, it works all the same though.

    Comments and C&C please -_-

    you align things by implementing CSS with DIV tags

    like instead of <div align="left">Lorem</div>, it'd be <div style="text-align: left;">Lorem</div>

    pretty simple (XHTML valid too)

    wrap it in the DIV or, just add "style="text-align: left;" in the <img /> tag itself

    On the contrary, multiple style sheets can be useful, depending how implemented.

    A big plus to CSS design is the organization factor. You can organize your css into smaller css files, each one with more specific purposes.

    For example, you could turn your main stylesheet into multiple ones like this:

    One stylesheet for global page elements.
    One stylesheet for things that style text, such as the header (<h1>, <h2>) tags, strong tags (), emphasis () tags, etc.
    And stylesheets for certain things that only occur on some pages.

    Also, the cascading part of CSS means that you can override CSS that's already been instated. Consider the following scenario. All your pages are styled using global.css. However, on one page, you want to change how all the header tags and strong tags look. You put that style information in secondarytext.css.

    You then proceed to import the CSS, in this order, like so:

    Code:
    @import url("***/global.css");
    @import url("***/secondarytext.css");
    //Note: *** to be replaced with url to document
    Now, even if you already defined header and strong tag styles in global.css, they will be re-styled based on secondarytext.css.

    Note, its important the order in which style sheets are imported. Specific style information in one css document will override any previous style information of the same type. (Above, we overrode header and strong tag info with what was in global.css).

    That's for when you've really gotten the grasp of CSS, as in all actuality, this type of organization isn't the most important thing in the world.

    Thanks for that Equivalent. I i am using 2 style sheet with that portfolio atm, and it's not finished yet.

    Quick question to you guys.

    On my portfolio http://wodnerboy.mythicx.com/portfolio

    I have alot of images which link to templates i have made. Do you think it's better for them to open in a new window ? Or replace the one thats currently open.

    I never really know which is the best, they both have their advantages.
