is it possible that an early 15" LCD monitor is not good enough to play Oblivion? I just wanted to know since I can't get to the second floor of the Blood Feast in Oblivion. <_<

unless the monitor is somehow f'ed up as in not displaying anything, then it shoudl nto be an isue, it is likely your CPU, ram or gfx card.

it can't be either of them, because they meet the "recommended" requirments for Oblivion, the default settings is high for the set-up I have

What's the recommended resolution for oblivion? Maybe that 15" monitor can't handle that resolution. Also, what's the refresh rate of that monitor? Is it analog or digital? Analog = SVGA, Digital = DVI inputs in the back of the LCD.
