Mmkay, let's get started. First off, pull out a sig that you want rain on, and make sure there's no border on it. If you're got the PSD handy, you can just make the border not visible and make sure that it's the top layer at all times! Do the same for your text, unless you want it to rain on your text. So here we go: Pick your sig, I chose this one: Now make sure your foreground and background are black and white. Go ahead and make a new layer, then go up to "Filter>Render>Clouds" After you've done that, go to "Filter>Noise>Add Noise" There should be a box that pops up like so: Make sure it's at 400%, it doesnt matter if its Uniform or Gaussian, but DO make sure it's Monochromatic, that takes away the color; Which is exactly what we're goin for. Next, go up to "Filter>Blur>Motion Blur" and put your settings like below. It really depends on which way you want the rain to fall, but "-45" is a good setting. Also, one little tip - the higher the Motion Blur setting [30, 50, 75, etc.], the cleaner rain you'll get. It'll look more like its downpouring rather than just sprinkling or regular rain. Now go up to "Image>Adjustments>Levels..." Now make in the first box at the top where there's a 0, replace that with 125. After that, set the blending mode of that layer to "Soft Light" in your Layers palette. Now repeat all of the above about 3 more times. Just trust me on it, I dont care how ----ty you think it looks, it'll turn out great, just trust me. After you've repeated all of that, we get to the fun part. Mmkay, now take a look at your Layers palette and make sure your FIRST rain layer is selected. [This might be a good time to rename all of your rain layers to something like "Rain1", "Rain2", etc...]. Now make sure that only your sig and your first rain layer are visible. This is the fun part!!! Go down to the bottom of your Tools palette, and click on this [it moves the image from Photoshop to ImageReady]: Make sure you have the "Animation" window open in ImageReady. If you dont, go up to "Window>Animation" Mmkay, so let's just say you have 4 rain layers. Do you? I do! So we have 4 rain layers, so we're gonna make 4 frames in the "Animation" window. Got that? Lemme show ya. So you've got 4 rain layers and 4 frames. On frame one, make rain layer 1 visible ONLY. On frame 2, make rain layer 2 visible ONLY. On frame 3, make rain layer 3 visible ONLY, and on frame 4, make rain layer 4 visible ONLY. Now ya see the little "0. Sec." underneath each frame? That's how fast each frame goes by. So let's change that from 0 to 0.1 by right clicking on it and clicking on 0.1 Seconds. Now click on the play button on the bottom of the Animation window. Go up to "File>Save Optimized As..." ...Looks alot like rain, doesnt it? View Tutorial
Buddy this tut doesn't work....if you repeat something 4 times or even 10000 times and duplicate it and play it nothing is going to happen if very frame is the same. Nvm sorry buddy, I did something competly wrong. I apologize.
Bah...Kinda old Maybe make a tut on how to splash the rain on the text..I know how but its still cool
