Especially if you're me, I have more RAM than I know what to do with. Literally. I'm likely to be giving 2GB RAM to my dad. and I'm on Vista right now. It is in and of itself more responsive than XP. For general use it's exactly what everyone wants, fast and pretty. and FYI OS 1 was deemed a memory hog when it was launhed.
Lol none of that is close to 30$, and I dont go to Fry's that much, it's kinda far for me so even if it is 30$ there sometimes, it'd be kinda pointless spending gas to go all the way there, cause for some ---- reason they built a Fry's like in the middle of nowhere. My mom uses Vista on her computer and she doesn't have a problem with it, but all she does is browse the internet and thats it. For me it's different, I got a lot of software that I use which has had problems with Vista, plus I hear StarCraft does't run on Vista (not sure if they released and update so it will work on Vista) and thats like all the reasonfor me not to use Vista. Btw isn't there like a service pack 1 comming out for Vista real soon?
umm the first one is 28.99 after rebate. That's under 30 yeh those use rebates... your point? just because you have to wait a week or two doesn't increase the cost. and I'm going to ask you, have you actually tried it? It's nto bad for general use. FOr gaming, yeh the drivers are a little behind, but it's within tolerability. now I wouldn't pay money for vista if I had XP. But I got vista for free so no complaints.
Bleh didn't see it had rebates, my bad...yea I hate rebates. And yes, I have used Vista, that is why I'm saying I dont like it. The thing I do like is the default interface of it, not the whole gadgets thing, but the taskbar and start menu is much better looking than the default xp one that I wouldn't have to download a theme to use on it. Hah some of my friends bought new computers that came with Vista just to play a certain game on the highest settings and they found out they couldn't play the game, not sure if they can now with any updates thats been out if there has been any.
usually if you can't play a game it's due to the fact that the hardware they're using is inadequate. under typical settings, vista is usually within single digit performance figures from XP. I don't think vista is scaling as well under abnormally high degrees of antialiasing(and I'm an AA freak TBH) but for most people, 16x CSAA is well, beyond the scope of their hardware.
Trust me, I know each is plagued with their own problems, winblows just has more. And yes, I know, any smart corporation would be running a linux based web server, server 2003 was a pile of ----, and mac servers are more for schools.
depends on how you weight the criterion and for each individual and for each application it varies.I just don't think you should pay a price premium.
its because vista sucks the biggest weiner known to man kind. seriously. i had it on a laptop for about a month and i got so fed up with it because my computer would crash every couple of days because unknowingly i installed programs that arent vista compatible. nothing is compatible with it from the old days, you have to get all new ----. its so annoying. the only thing that is different really to me is the look and style, and you can easily outmatch that with Windows Blinds or something with XP.
As an entrepreneur and business owner, you know, who you trust and do business with? Among the many options you have is to Buy Aion Gold another place to turn, and tap into the social dialogue about the company or brand in question. And that brings me to this week's Wednesday Web Resource ... Marginize in the spring of 2010, founded and based in Cambridge, Gold for WOW Gold allows Marginize involved with someone or read the other comments on any website -regardless of the owner of the site - with a freebrowser add-on or bookmarklet. Once that is provided add-on or Buy WOW Gold, a new sidebar will appear at the Aion Leveling edge of the web site where everyone can interact and read comments and check-ins. As a result, each site is now an ad-hoc message board, whether the location of the owners like WOW Power Leveling or not!
