I've been trying for a while to get my mic to pick up in games. The only way for it to pick up is to yell and I really can't do that at night since my parents need to sleep. This never happened before tell a few months ago. I ignored it then since I wasn't into games that much. I am now wanting to get a Vent server for some friends and anyone else that wants to use it. Only problem is my mic doesn't pick up in vent. My sound card is Sound Blaster Audigy 24bit The updates for the card never update the card. The mic I try to use is Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset. The mic works fine on my brothers PC and it used to work for me. I had a standing mic but I lost that. Anyone know how to fix this? Or should I invest in a new better sound card? Need more info please ask me.
lots of times you have to just mess around with your input settings. my mic is pretty messed up as well. had to forge it from a few pieces of duct tape and some old mic i found. anyway, just make sure you have all your input settings turned up and give it a few tests before it works and you blow out someone's speakers when you talk =)
this happened to me and i just went to the volume control and saw that my volume kept staying low, so everytime i closed volume control it would go down again. So see if your volume control is all the way up, if not put it up and leave the window open
have you ticked mic boost? under microphone, click advanced, then tick mic boost if that doesnt help, id suggest raging at the mic and getting another
is you mic boost enabled? also what OS you using? i know of a lot of people that are having mic issues with vista and audigy cards
I wont get vista tell December (or whenever my friend says its ok to get). I've boosted my mic and nothing happens in Vent. I can barley hear myself in BF2 mic test yelling. I'm running in Windows XP. I'd goto the manufacture website for help...but I did that when it first started and found nothing useful.
which mic is it? i think i had the same one you do... and it was terrible i couldnt get a decent volume out of the mic no matter what i did... even yelling didnt work
