Everytime I attach my External HD Maxtor One Touch USB Mass Storage Device My Recycling Bin icon turns into the full Recycling Bin Icon...even though there is nothing in it And when I try to Empty the Recycling Bin, it tells me if I want to delete my Windows Folder..and If I clcik no it stays and if I click yes it gives an erorr that it cannot delete that folder What is up with this... It has been going on for about a week or so..I scanned my External HD Maxtor One Touch with Avast and found nothing on it.. -Z
lol this sure is a unique problem uhmm, i've googled but cant really find anything suggestion: do you have windows or anyother type of bootfiles on your external hdd? and when you have the hdd connected does it boot from your external hdd?
No it does not happen when my External HD is not plugged in Only happens when it is plugged in. My external hd does not have any bootable files on it. And when connected and I restart my computer it does not boot from the external HD it did not happen a while back..but for the past two weeks or so it has been happening almost all the time -Zain
have you tried a different USB port and doing a windows update? out of curiocity is this xp or vista?
