    And just to reiterate the point that there is no meaningful difference:

    Directly from Mathworld.com:

    If you look at both definitions, they basically say "an exponent is a power" and "a power is an exponent."

    btw, GuardianAngel, I'm still waiting for your explanation.

    rofl i'm a junior in highschool, taking calculus BC, and yeah, power = exponent.. they're the same thing.. unless you're using the wrong term...

    I copied and pasted from the school website...Thats how its put, so I guess just ignore the power/exponent thing.
