I did karate for about 6 years....I was FEKO National Champion in the women's category and on the England National Squad. I was going to compete in the World Championships in France, but I had to give it up unfortunatly
Yo. Karate, Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and Kick-Boxing for 10 years. We mostly do practical application stuff as compared to traditional stuff. If you go into a situation with traditional stuff, you'll get your ass handed to you. What we work on is practical things for practical situations. Things that work in real life. I've done some work on law enforcement techniques and some work with the Israeli Special Forces system for example. As far as competitions go I'm a provincial and national champ. I can't even remember the last time I lost a sparring match to anyone but those from my own club. There 3 of us that are pretty even and we go back and forth in tournaments.
