Definitely! It's great. It does more for me then meditation ever could. Oh and sorry bout your grandmaster.
I also did karate for a year when I was 12. Got to orange belt before I stopped. Karate's good for fitness, but quite boring as a martial art. Boxing, on the other hand, is an intense core workout, and it's as practical (if not more practical) than many martial arts in a fight. Sure, it might not be that effective in a closed ring with judges and a referee, but I can guarantee you it'll be 10x more effective in a street fight. A lot of martial artsy type people dismiss it because it's very much a westerners type sport, but I've sparred against people who have done muay thai and karate, and in close quarters, they don't really have any advantage.
They kind of made the CPU too hard for no reason. For example you have to fill your bars to use specific moves and they don't. Also they spam unblockable moves.
If it wasn't hard, why bother playing? Gone are the days where difficulty is the one thing that kept you replaying. People seem to have gone soft. I remember games where you had to use quick-save like it was the fire button, just to make it beyond level one.
I'm not saying that it's not fun when it's hard. I like that. I like that a lot actually, where you have to play a boss or opponent multiple times to figure out how to beat them, but you have no idea how this game is. For example you can be fighting Zangief and all he'll do is the spinning piledrive so you can't even go near him. And you'd think that the least they can do is say have some kind of move to counter or something but theres nothing you can't do anything to stop the move and to make it even worse no matter what move you're doing automatically gets cancelled when he begins his move. It's utter bull---- it's almost impossible to beat him on medium and it prolly is impossible on hard. It's absolutely crazy.
So which one was more fun? ITF or WTF? We had this ITF guy switch to my school. He had to relearn all his forms xD. But his sparring was cool. I actually got lost on the way to his funeral
