I did kung fu since I cant remember when untill now
but i still knew how to defend using some of it
I took Shotokan and Tae Kwon Do for roughly 5-6 years each, and now I'm taking Ryu Kyu Kempo, Jodoryu Jiu Jitsu, and Modern Arnis (stick fighting).
i used to and didnt like it
I've been trained in 3 variations of Taekwondo. I've also been trained in Kempo, Jujitsu, Grappling, as well as some weaponry training in a philipino and a hawaiian style.
Ive been an assistant instructor for classes, ive done womens self defense trainings at the state capital, ive participated in a womans self defense talk show as well. Ive been part of demonstrations for my old instructors new studios as they opened up and ive assisted in the creation of training videos.
On top of all that, ive competed in multiple tournaments and have won nationals twice, as well as having placed in many other tournaments. I have done training sessions with the number one ranked demonstration team in the world when they where visiting from Korea, as well as the number one ranked demonstration team on the west coast.
I've done 3 years of JKD, Seeking leg-high mantis style kung fu, TaeKwonDo, YaunYenDo, Kempo (for like a month), capoeira, and akido. my brother is a judo instructor, also trained in ju-jitsu and shoot fighting. I live near Boston so the number of studios is fairly Tremendous(capitalized for emphasis). I've been in matrial arts constantly for the past 17 years, almost 18 now (going on 23), I hold 2 black belts, and various other titles.
Sadly martial arts are my biggest accomplishment ><
i do a form of martial arts and am currently low belt. i like it though, it's fun and it is good to do
I'm in the process of taking Muay Thai and Jujitsu.
kung fu for 8 years
i do Brazilian jiu-jitsu, going on 3 years
i have done martial arts for 2 years....
i get bored after a while.... so thats why have quit both
I currently hold a 2nd degree black belt in American Style Tai Kwan Do, and Hapkido. Studied for 5 years.
I also hold a second degree black belt in Shorin Ryu Karate, and practice Brazilian Jui Jitsu at the Militich Gym in Bettendorf, Iowa.
I fought amateur Full Contact for 5 years as well, and currently hold a record of 53-0, with 6 grandchampionships, all at the welterweight level.
Last year I had to give up fighting because I tore my AC in my left knee, and had to have it surgically repaired. But I miss it......it was my passion.
Now I mess around on my computer in my off time, and play video games to keep from getting too bored. I still work out, but not as serious about it as I used to be.
