Marijuana Should Be Legal?

God.. you roll it into paper, you burn the paper and you inhale the smoke, how can that NOT cause cancer it doesn't have a filter. Marijuana itself doesn't cause cancer ok.. but inhaling the smoke of paper ? Well.. that sounds healthy to me. It's just like sigarettes you roll yourself, instead of smoking tobacco, you just smoke marijuana.

But ow wait.. that's just propaganda.. it actually PREVENTS cancer, that's why it's prohibited by law everywhere in the world, I guess they did that because else, it would make too much sense.

If it wasn't bad for you, there would be no propaganda against it in the first place. But that's just ol' logical me, I'm corrupted by all the anti-drug campains to believe that a plant that you smoke and causes illusional effects isn't healthy.

If it was legal..it wouldn't be abused as much..because it would be easier to find/get/smoke you know?

but since its illegal.. people have a hard time finding it, weed dealers overprice the weed, the list goes on..


Look at europe..some places over there have weed to be legal..

and theres like no crime in place for it...well at least not that I know of.

so if it would be legal...it would be a lot better off.

 

Well, you have a good point. But weed is also up to 3 times as bad for you as Ciggs.

Other than that, I have no prob with it being legal. Except for dumb people who smoke + drive.

As many people in this thread have said.. It is not as bad as weed...pretty much at all..

It doesn't cause cancer... (tests say)
Pretty much no deaths....medically (exceptions are car crashes...shooutouts..---- like that )
it makes you feel good..you know?



So it should be legalized... but hey, i doubt it will ever be legalized because too many people in office are afraid to support it. :/

 

Actually, the radium in the fertilizer that they use on the tobacco is the leading cause of lung cancer in cigarette use. If you smoke one, you'll be fine. If you smoke tonnes, in 7 years time the radium becomes radioactive, and causes cells to split quicker, which is cancer.

Its prohibited because of racist laws (atleast in Canada) if you want proof, pm me, I'll send you my brother's essay (he's a marijuana activist, and a big one at that)

Actually, its corparatism that is causing its legality to still be in debate. Hemp is better than cotton, better for the enviroment, etc. , but would put a lot, and I mean a lot, of business bankrupt.

Uhm, actually popo just take it cause the want it. Its not legal for recreational use. It used to be you'd have to pay a fine if you had it on you, like 50 bucks or something, and if you had over an ounce you were considered a dealer then you would get a record.

And THC resin covers brain receptors within your brain, it doesn't kill anything, unless it suffocates the receptor, which rarely happens. And which is dealt with later. Also alcohol is an acid if you didn't know, and it destroys the clogging in arteries. Its only good in little amounts. If you have too much it can constrict your arteries. Its also only good for you liver if you have like half a beer a day, not enough to destroy your protective membrane, but enough to destroy whats bad inside it.

Point is, weed is less harmful legal than it is illegal. More men have died trying to enforce the laws against it, than the substance itself has.

I would like to point out that I have never tried marijuana and will never try marijuana. Hovwever, I think it should be legal in small amounts for thos over 21 that wish to use it. These are my reasons:
-Those that wish to try it will and there is no law that will change that. And when they get it from drug dealers it could be dirty and with unknown additives.
-If it was made legal the government could better control the amount released, who it was realeased to, and could collect taxes on it.
-Marijuana has never been and will never be overdosed on, and it has less dangerous side effects on your health than Alcohol, and Alcohol 10 times stronger than marijuana is legal, like Everclear.

But for it to work some rules would need to be followed:
-Smoking should only be don on private property and while you are high that is where you should stay.
-There should be VERY strict laws against its uses while driving, even harsher than drinking and driving.
-It should only be available to people over 21.
-It should only be able to be purchased in small amounts.

It may sound wierd that a straight edge like myself think weed should be legal, but it makes more sense. Peolpe will use it no matter how many laws you have against it.

I agree with the both of you. Im a user, and I have some straightedge friends that think it should be legalized. Like I said earlier in this thread, I've done quite a bit of research on it.

Weed,its for fools for ppl that dont fit in this world and have to get high to get out of this world but then again they are still here and ADDICTICT to it so yeah it shoudlnt be legall

 

That is only if they let themselves lose those things. Many people think that you lose control over yourself when your high and you dont.
