The thing is that you do stupid things when intoxicated. Nicotine (what's in cigarrettes) is addictive and it is a drug. However it does not alter the thought process (which means none of the intoxication, which is what makes certain drugs legal/illegal). Ethanol (what's in your beer, wine, distilled drinks etc.) is also a drug. It, however, alters your thought process. When you're drunk, I'll speak from experience here by the way, you don't feel/think you're drunk. It's the same with marijuana. Though I've never smoked it (don't give me a line of crap about how "if uve never smoked shut the ---- up," because I've seen the effects on other people, both sober and intoxicated), I'll bet money it'll do the same as if you were drunk. That's where the whole "its harmless legalize it and let me smoke" argument comes from. Next time you're sober, watch someone who's high. It ain't pretty, trust me. The effects are different on different people, but I'll tell you that they do some stupid ---- 100% of the time. By the way, you're also killing off brain cells at an alarming rate, both with alcohol and marijuana (to be fair). You're also slowing your heart rate down to very dangerous levels. Marijuana is considered a narcotic, which does that. You're screwing with your nervous system, much more so than with alcohol. Alcohol, which is a depressant, slows a lot of stuff down, but not to the levels that all narcotics can and will do. Long story short: marijuana's dangerous. It's not as bad as alcohol or tobacco in some areas, but it's much worse in others. And by the way, a joint of marijuana has the same (if not more) amount of tar from smoking it as a cigarrette. You know what's in that tar? Carcinogens, which cause cancer. Carcinogens come with smoking anything, be it a narcotic, crack, or tobacco.

I'd like to see you test the chemicals in tobacco and pot, then come and give us the results. If you read an anti-pot article, it will always be slanted to make you believe what they want. If you read pro-pot articles, they'll do the same. No matter what you read usually, it's some form of propaganda slanted to make you believe what they want.

On the other hand, I think pot should be on the same level as alcohol really. I don't know all the facts so I won't sit here and try to talk out of my ass about it, but that's how I feel. I've used it before and I don't see it as any worse, or better for that matter, than being drunk. You should get slammed big time for driving under the influence, but it shouldn't be as taboo as it is right now.

i dont think it should be legal, ive seen to many people ruin there lives from drugs half of them bein proper potheads an droppin out of college cos they just want to smoke marajuana all day plus use of it often leads to use of more serious drugs like crack or e's, i say this because i know of at least 27 people who have smoked marajuana and then gone onto e's or some other crap because they wanted to see if there was anything better

Thats where you are wrong Axiom, I don't read biased information. I form my opinions through research, studies, and facts only. Not through pro-pot or anti-pot sites.

The only thing that is true about weed is the fact that it can possibly be a gateway drug. I say this from personal experience because after smoking for about 2 years, I am not bored of weed, but I would like to try other drugs to compare.

MSG-KniveS, I didn't include LSD because you can't really compare it to weed in terms of harm.

LSD is neither addictive or physically harmful, although it can lead to some shocking or life-changing experiences.

People get the opposite of addicted to LSD... Their desire to use it decreases the more they do it. This applies for most hallucinogens.
