Well, I have Counter-Strike Source and when i play it i dont lag, My FPS(Frames Per Second) is so low it makes it apear i do, My Graphics Card can play Half-Life 2 and all with out lag issues, and I already know its not COnnection to the internet. Here may be the issues and please tell me what i can do to make it run faster: Frames Per Second : Is only nine (9) !! When ever i try to change model to Low qaulity and press "OK" CS:S Crashes. When someone walks near me my fps drop to 2. Anyone have the same problem they can relate to and mabe know how to fix it ?
rofl i got no idea, maybe reinstall css and keep all teh settings on lowest. or do erm max_fps 50 or sumat in ur console.
well, i had a very low FPS when i played DOD, but then my computer got used to it and played fine. But i was in a server for an hour and still no progress.
As for the lag play on servers where ever are nearest you, Shut MSN/Xfire/Aim/mIRC those kinda programmes if you're sharing a connection check what the person on the other end is doing and don't download while playing ETC.
Like others said, what's your computers specs? What graphic card? What internet connection? Try turning off anti-aliasing and high dynamic lightning.
How do i check my Computers Spect. Well, Not sure for GFX card is :\ . It can play HL2 no lag. Wireless Router, Yet i play CS : 1.6 and CZ, no problrm, FPS is my main concern with CS : S .. 9..FPS 9..

Thats because you need at least 1 GB RAM Get a better CPU like a core 2 duo e6600 and try a 7900GT then you can run CSS. But with your bad pc at 9 fps. you cant run u have onboard gfx.
Okay, I know my game was like that sometime ago. I got a new GFx card and it went away. To find out your spec's go to START>RUN>DIAG Also, when you do change you setting's to low make sure you not in a server while doing it.
