Those frozen tree pics look like the trees here in maryland. Everything is iced over. Including my car this morning, that took 45 mins to scrape all the ice off of.

wait a sec, you call that major? thats nothing compared to what we got in chicago over the past few days, we've gotten 1 foot of snow between yesterday and early this morning and what made it harder was the drifting snow and strong winds (40-50mph). From the pictures you took of all the friggin ice which doesn't really mean anything, and only one picture of the actual snow fall. What your getting is what passed through the midwest, so its nothing new.

For one, it is major to us because it's the first big storm we have had this season. Two, the low pressure came from Texas. I am a meteorological nerd and thats what my career is going to be. We are getting wrap around snow now. And yes, 1/2 in. of ice is considered a major winter storm.

isnt it kinda petty to be arguing about weather? I mean damn, you might as well start arguing over who has the most money now, because thats about what this argument is like.

I live in Georgia, if I got that much snow Id piss my pants. So what if you live somewhere that gets snowfall alot? Let him enjoy his.

I've lived in Dayton for a few years now and it's the worst I've seen since I've been here.

I could post about 4-6 paragraphs explaining where the weather came from, but to spare everyone of a post that they won't read, I wont. (I have to know meteorology as a pilot.)

Looks like you got mostly freezing rain like we did last night. We had a mix so there isn't as much of an ice coating on everything, but it sucks. The roads still aren't plowed at all, so I'm stuck home playing Xbox.
