Looking for some new music to listen to? Why not break away from the mainstream. I know this has been said millions of times but there is so much more out there then just the mainstream. Here are some bands I listen to that are far away from mainstream: Mew - A band of few words. Most of their songs are short but are very unique and interesting. A good song from them is Comforting Sounds. The Arcade Fire - These guys are very independant and are sometimes reffered to as one hit wonders, but that one hit alone makes them a great band. Try listening to Rebellion (Lies). Gorillaz - These guys are far out, yet mainstream. I don't know how to describe them. Some good songs are Feel Good Inc. and Clint Eastwood. Immortal Technique - For those of you who love rap look no further then Immortal Technique. They will satisfy your rap craving. Yoko Shimomura - She composed the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, which is one of my favorites. Give her a listen if you like instrumentals. This is it for now.
