Im doing the world tour thing at the moment on Lord of the Rings Online and i must say i think its such a great game. Ive played Guild Wars and i didnt like it to much, some parts were good like the quest = main source of Exp thing, but the downsides really made it boring for me.
Well im playing LOTRO and its got the great parts of GW in it and as a LOTR fan im finding the storyline great too.
I was wondering whether anyone else here is on the World Tour for it and what they would rate it and whether they think it will become one of the big MMO's, maybe even putting pressure on WoW etc?

I personally give it a 9/10 so far being as i havnt been able to go past lvl 15 as thats the cap atm ;)

I have an account that I am not using, as this is my mother's comp and she will not allow me to download things. I was forced to sell mine, so I have a spare beta account that I can give away if anyone wants to have it.
I wish I could play it, but I couldn't, it looks like fun.
I signed up for the beta way back in 06 and just got an email about being accepted about a month ago, and haven't been able to take advantage of it as I sold my comp 2 monthes ago.
    LMK guys.

OK, I've been in Beta for this game since August 2006. I stopped playing around January. Reason: at high levels the quests disappear. Between character wipes in beta my characters were at 30, 35, and 20-ish. At around level 35, assuming you've been questing, there are no more quests to do! There's the really high level endgame stuff you can't do, and a whole bunch of level 20 quests in your book you haven't done. But, nothing around your level.

So yes it's definitely a good game, but I stopped playing because it couldn't hold my interest to get past the 30-40 grind. I had friends that made it to 50 a couple times and the raids were apparently kinda fun. Plus PvMP is awesome (is that open for you?). There's a whole bunch of castles you can take in that area and play as either your 40+ character or a 50 mob. I'm still happy I hold the honor of being the raid leader the first time the central keep was ever taken in beta. ^_^

I've been playing it a little bit, and I must say... I am REALLY unimpressed. Right now, I understand it's in beta, so it's nothing special to me... at all... but seriously the graphics REALLY bring it down for me. Normally I'm not one to say graphics are everything in the game, they are just a plus. But at the moment, the gameplay in the game is not good enough for me to ignore the poor graphics. It's just really boring, and not much going for it at the moment. There are many things they can do with the game that would make it better. But at the moment, it's just really simple with graphics that would come out of a game from 1998.
