I uninstalled a game that was in my documents and everyone in My Documents got deleted.. I cant find any of the files on my computer that were in that folder. I dont have system restore on but it would be useful now.. Anyway have some ideas?
You should always have System Restore on dude....As things like this happen. =( And unless you had it backed up, or it just got sent to your Recycle Bin, I think you may be stuck...>___<
all files, when erased, so to a re-writable part of the hard drive. if they are genuinely important files (work, collage relatede) the you should look into data recovery software, or services etc.
there are various do it yourself recovery software you can use to get files that were accidentally deleted back, just run a google search on it
yeah I did that now and found all my pictures but I'm still looking for my word documents and school work. Edit: woot I got my dads files back
If you're still looking for some software, I'd probably start at some site like Download.com. Google is fine, but a lot of sites on there are actually viruses or spyware.
