I'm thinking about starting to make LP's, I am by no means new to Photoshop, I know my way around it fairly well by now.. although i still have a lot to learn, don't get me wrong. Anyways, I've been making signatures for a while now, and I have made a few wallpapers and have done some photo manipulation and rendering, but I never realllyyy got into making LP's although i've been interested in it, I'm looking for tips, basically where to start, what kind of projects i should be tackling before i bite off something more than I can chew.. also kind of looking for people who made the transition from signatures to LP's and what they did. Heck if you've even got some tutorial links or anything that'd be great.

    Thanks a bunch.

all i can really say is just try an LP when you get truly inspired

focus on concept, focal, perspective, depth, blending

The best place you can start off in terms of making LPs is getting hold of a C4D Render, and, messing around with it. Get some textures and build up a textured background etc.

I would think it would all depend on what type of LPs you wanna make(the style).Like tags though some style are going to be harder, like to me a true vector work is always going to be the hardest since you do it completely from scratch.

Like broken said it would probably be easiest to work from a C4D if you just wanna get a feel for working on a bigger canvas.Unfortunately with C4D some people don't want you to use 'em in LPs because it's the main event so to speak and it's kinda like you taking credit for their work.So if you can I would make the C4D yourself.

As simple as that sounds, that is pretty much what I did. I started out by taking what I did on my signatures and just using a larger canvas.

A good tip would be to just look at other people's art and use it as inspiration. Also, start out simple; don't try to push yourself to make something amazing on your first attempts, you won't get anywhere.
