i was in to photography a while back, looking to start again as it really interests me.. do you think this is an alright camera? Silver FujiFilm FinePix A800 Megapixels: 8 LCD screen: 2.5" Optical zoom: 4x Digital zoom: 7x Memory card type: SD card It looks great, and seems great. im english, its £89 so it's about $180. is it worth it?
I had the option to either buy this Fuji or the Panasonic LS75. I went with the Panasonic, it just seemed more trustworthy to me. I suppose this is alright, but you should really check out some reviews. They are a world of help, especially when they include photos taken with the camera. I went for the LS75 because i saw some pics taken with it and they looked awesome.
Looks like it's more for regular old pictures to me.I think if you really want to get into photography and not myspace looking pics this would be the wrong camera.I've heard on different sites when it comes to digital, DSLRs are the best, they're the most "versatile".They can do that whole blur the background thingy(instead of doing it your self in photoshop and having it look super fake ). I've been using a camera very close to this(same brand, but mine is a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2): http://www.learningcenter.sony.us/assets/d...id=fullfeatured It's not a half bad camera, it takes very nice high quality pictures if you buy a Memory Stick (P)ro Duo for it, it just doesn't do the effects as well as a DSLR.
The quality is really good? Where did you get it? And how much? I just want to get one, i searched one deal online for $187 http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?deal_id=65093 Do you think it's worthy? Can I get a cheaper one?
It sounds ok. When you're at 8 mega pixels you can stretch to any size you want really. Up to something like A3 A2 I think, so nothing size wise wrong. Personally I use a Sony DSC-W85 (7.2 Mpx) its got a Carl Zeiss lens so it works well, and I get good photos out of it, on top of the various settings it has you can get most pictures you want. Myspace wise I just stick to my 3.2mpx cybershot phone, but you can really tell the difference quality wise between the two. There's a DSLR lying around somewhere here as well, but I find you can cover most things with the DSC, and thats a lot cheaper Hope this Helps ~kd~
