Those are some wicked looking PC's, however, the kind of computer that you want to get depends on what you are going to do with it. for example apples are best for editing movies and such (i personally hate them and would NEVER buy one), for gaming (if money is no problem) alienware (www.alienware.com) offers the best. sometimes the packages (like they were offering there) sometimes aren't the best. you can save money by re-using your moniter, sound system, mouse and keyboard, stuff like that. Untill I know what you are planing on doing with the PC it is hard to specify a good choice. No matter what, you are going to want the equivilent of a Pentium III at least, and no less than 256 MB RAM.

I suggest you get an AMD processor, maybe a Athlon XP 3000+ and at least 512 RAM.
It all depends on your bugdet and as Viper aid, wht you want to do with it. But AMD processors are the best in my opinion.

The one with the specs above is a beafed up version of the one you wanted. I went to the customise section and beafed it up.
I added faster processor, more ram, larger hard drive and a better graphics card.

the problem about dell is that they arent good for games, you need a better video card.

Dell's are un-upgradable. I would recommend that you go to a computer show or a computer fair and get one done if you don't know how to make your own comp. The computer I currently have now cost me only $1000 +/- a few bucks. It's equal to a Dell computer that would cost me $1800.

    I reccomend an Apple computer.
    http://store.apple.com

Apple has just released a new computer that only costs $500, but comes with no monitor/keyboard/mouse. All of Apple's other computers are real expensive, though they ARE the best you can buy. This is a document on "Debunking the Apple Price Myth." Maybe it'll help you take some things into consideration before going PC.

    ok now heres the rundown

Dells- there are retarted people working there. they make B- PC's and you can pimp one up and it will run good. Thats a good choice get a cheap PC and on the cart options pimp it up for cheap.

Gateways- They are cheap and run better than dells with games.

Alienwares- Gods PC. Way too over priced or my likings.

    EASIEST- Costomize your own

There are many single owned businesses that wil ldo it i play online games with a guy who is god with a PC and builds them for cheap with a couple terabytes of HD space.

it also depends. If your running a lot of games you want a 3.4 GHZ and a lot of ram and a nice video card to boot. Also lots of hard drive space. those comps wouldnt run great with games

Try working on a Dell. They don't give you enough slots to put another HD. Also, they use generic mobo's which kills the potential of the CPU that your using. I made my own comp and used name brand parts. Add a few more dollars than buying a Dell and you'll be alot happier. It's always best to make your own or ask someone to make it for you. You can customize it to the way you want it. All of my 4 desktops here at home & work I personally made, and I ended up saving some money in the long run.
