we should be able to lock our own topics in the auction forum when the items are sold...it would help be more organized and cut down on some spam

there is a function in the ACP that is "allow user to close own topics?", im sure there is a mod somewhere that allows people to close their topics in certain forums and not in others.

That way nothing could really be extremely abused. Flood control stops massive spamming, and any mod who sees remote spamming will simply delete the threads, warn/suspend the user, etc. It allows the auction room to stop threads with too much junk in them.

Also, who has 60 creds to buy that item from the store EVERY SINGLE time they auction? I mean, my signatures go for probably 60-80 average, but im not gonna give you 60 creds of my prize money simply to close a topic that should be made inactive as soon as its closed.

    Just my $0.02

I think its a good idea cuz it will be more organized..
but it probly will be abused a bit by some members..

maybe for premium or donator members only if thats possible? Idk if its even possible to do for only one forum...

^ donators can close any of their topics, in what ever forum.

When a bid didnt reach the final, or the creator got angry, threads would be closed. The auction room already has too many auctions not following through; this would increase it.

A simple answer to this would be to edit post after the auction has closed so people are aware that the auction has finished and the winning bidder has won the item.

The only reason it becomes messy is when people bump their topic by saying auction closed. This only brings the thread back to the top of the pile again and make people look without having any recognition of it being closed.
