    A review of the TV series "Little Britain"

    "Heres some facts you may not know about britain.. Britain is called Britain, Britain is a country and finally.. Britain." These are the opening words from the TV series Little Britan. Stupid yet hilarious.
    Little Britain is in my opinion a very entertaining series, Managing to capture the imagination of the British public using complete idiotcy, whils't insulting them!
    It resembles the kind of humour used in Monty Python films. Some people love it, others resent.
    What is the purpose of this series though? "Who are the people who live in Britan?" This is the question Little Britain claims to answer. Complete rubbish! It's realy just a excuse for middle aged actors to have fun and gain ratings.
    The series follows the lives of many confused British people, most of which have their own rather annoying catch phrases, mimiced by school children everywere. Such catch phrases as; "Yeah, i know." "The only gay in the villiage." And "but i'm a lady."
    So heres a little about the series, Little Britain;
    Little Britain is a very entertaining series overall, however it can become rather repetetive after a while. Most scetches resembling the last. For instance Andys scetches, however funny they may be, nearly all resume the same layout. Andy says he wants something, or wants to do something. His friend then attempts to pursuade him otherwise, eventually giving in to Andys requests. Soon later he changes his mind. A classic example of this is when Andy is asked if he wants a ice cream - He asks for a cone, later saying he wants a ice cream.
    Everyone loves Andy - during the series he takes on the role of a crippled person, cared for by a friend, he acts even within acting and as soon as his friend leaves he shows us all just how "crippled" he is.
    The characters used in the series include "the only gay in the villiage," a unconvincing transvestite, everyones favorate Andy and many more entertaining actors.
    In the scetches Andy manages to buy a snake, take 4 books on the chiniese launguage, whithout realising he can't read and get chased by a supermarket security guard, as well as much more! Andy captures our hearts, always managing to entertain the viewing public.
    Many world record attempts fail in Little Britiain, such as: The largest tower of cards (using celotape.) The worlds smallest ant, which seems to have gone missing and a rather large pie which won't fit in the oven.
    The only scenes that in my opinion are lacking involve a troubled teanage girl, Vicky Polard; But there is one scene which is quite funny, "Keep it, iv'e got a load more at home." She says after leaving her baby at the school.
    There are many other entertaining scetches i could continue to describe but why not go to your TV set and watch for yourself? Overall, Little Britain is a must see and i'm looking forward to watching series two on DVD!

    Garr.. Little Britain is Ok the first series was new and original but now... The skeches are all very samey and, it's just not very clever comedy.

    I'll watch it but I don't understand the mania that has swept the worlds over it.
