Ok I have 2 hdd's on my comp and one of them I have alot of free space so I decided to install Linux on it because I can. Its on my D:\ but my startup is my C:\ Just curious if I could add what ever the configuration is for Linux to my boot.ini file. Main point of this question is it possible to add another drive to a boot.ini file? Like, just an example, If I have Xp on C:\ and Sever 2003 on D:\ how could i make it show both of them on the Boot screen when i turn my computer on. I know I could just go into my BIOS and switch the startup options but I dont want to do that every time I want to switch between OS'.

The best way to dual-boot is with one of the Linux bootloaders (grub or lilo) since it will load any operating system you choose.

There are plenty of tutorials as to how to this without messing your windows partition up available:

Oh and I'm pretty sure you can do it the other way (your way) as well, but I've never tried (or wanted to).
