Emo? You're ----ing kidding me right?

How can you say Linkin Park is even close to an emo band?

Nice job pulling out 2 whole verses. This makes them too emo? Wow, you are ignorant.

ahahahaha, and ur just as ignorant.
i never said i disliked them, they aren't a bad band, i have all their CDs, but what is classified as "emo" is complaining about life, how ur hurt, ur gf left you, etc etc etc. stop and listen to their lyrics for a bit before you go callin people ignorant, you're only proving how stupid you yourself are.

Think of the term "emo". Short for emotional. Emo is a subgenre of punk music. "The term emo was derived from the fact that, on occasion, members of a band would become spontaneously and literally emotional during performances."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_%28music%29

The lyrics of a song does not make a band emo. It's not just the words, it's the emotion they put into the performance as well.

Linkin Park is not emo at all. They are a hard rock/metal band. Almost every band in the known world has what you would call "emo" lyrics for a few songs at least. Some bands have lots of songs containing "emo" lyrics.

I'm sick of the term "emo" and how everyone doesn't understand how to put it into context.

IMO, they aren't hard rock or metal anymore. Their first CD was, no doubt there and it's still one of my favorite CDs ever. Meteora was completely different though, personally I didn't care for it much at all. Too electronica for my tastes, they need to try swaying away from the beats and DJ stuff and focus more on the actual band that's just a sort of an afterthought now.

I agree with everything else you said about the emo stereotype, Renagade.

I am disapointed on the fort minor project. i really hated it when mike said wat i like bout this rap game that u can put twists to yer words to make them sound more gangster -_- the only song i liked from it was whered u go

imo i think mike is better raping to rock

all of there cds are good i still listen to reanimation because its different n graffiti based well a little bit .

the one thing lp sucedes (cant spell xD) at is geting there fans to memerize all the lyrics of the songs

    LP FTW
