What i dont get is yes, there are ALOT of tutorials around, the only people that make their tutorials so high in price are the 'great designers' or whatever on this forum. I could buy a tutorial for 6-800 credits and not make a penny (or should i say credit?) profit from them.

I have 6 tutorials in offers and requests for only 50 credits for them all. You cant bring tutorials into this, it has nothing to do with it.

This is about credits that people have worked damn hard for, just for them to be taken away.

I'm using tuts as an example, because as you said there a lot of them in the market right now. I'm just comparing the price of what they'd be before and after the cut in money.

I'm also using 100 as an easy example for how much they cost because it's easier to do then using 56 and saying it becomes 5.6 credits.

Ok so lets do it your way.

I have over 4000 credits ok? I then get 3000 credits taken away from me ok? So do you think that its fair that i sold 103 psd's of MINE to someone for over 1600 credits and now all of a sudden the credits i made on MY psd's have gone? I would have nothing to show for them, therefore everything i made and bought for that pack was practically sold for jack ----, i would have absolutely nothing to show for it.

Would you then think it was fair for me to say to Alias (who i sold them to) ok i want all my psd's back, my credits have been taken from me, therefore i want them back??

I think not...ill check this after work :)

Personally, I'd be a fan of getting rid of creds altogether, it sort of destroys the idea of a community; people with a lot of credits make some huge deal out of it, and unless you have a successful shop, you're NOT going to make very many creds on here.

However, I know that'll never happen since this site is so in love with imaginary money....

Personally I don't like the idea of charging for a signature and/or avatar, that someone brought up. What about the people who've just joined? Those who don't post crazily? Those that saved all their creds to buy something and now have next to none? That's unfair.

One idea I have, that's how it's done on another site, is that the number of credits you get per post is dependent on the length of the post. Under 10 words = no creds. 11-100 words = 1 cred. 101-200 words = 2 creds, etc. This would also cut down a lot on one-two word posts that people make...and personally, I've seen VERY few posts on here that's broken 50 words, so you wouldn't have to worry about someone typing a massively huge post to get like 5 creds.

Also, in connection, I'd suggest a sort of "flood control" - we put this in place at another site I mod at after someone posted about 20 threads in one night. Basically what we did, was make it so that members with less than 200 posts were only allowed to make 4 threads every 6 hours; members with more posts than that are allowed 4 threads per 3 hours. Try and break this limit, and your thread-making privelages are taken away for the remainder of the day. Now, the forum we have this on is a highly social movie-based board that's about 3-4 times the size of GR, so were something to be put into place here it'd have to be tweaked accordingly, but it'd help stop people flooding the General Discussion, Your Stuff, etc. And people limited on the threads they can make = less creds going out.

Hmmm....what else....I don't like the idea of charging for auctions, because not everything in there sells. *knows from experience* Rather, I think the idea someone posted of taking off a percentage at the end would be better. It'd get creds out of the system in two ways - the obvious, in that some of the creds would be taken, and also the fact that the auctioneer would likely be trying to push the prices as high as possible in order to still get a decent profit.

Wow, long post. If I can think of any other ideas, I shall post them.

Big point. Same thing hapend to me after the downtime. I lost pver 1,200 Credits, and did I get them back? I havent seen the ----ty credits.

That is why this is so stupid. Everything would go wrong, everyone will go mad, go berserking and burn everything down.

YES! You would have something to show for them! You'd still have the same ammount of cash it's just less ammount and worth more.... It's just a smaller number but it's worth more!

If you had 10 slices of pizza or 1 slice that was as filling as the other 10, which would you choose to eat to fill you up? It really dosn't matter because they'll both do the same job.

You'd have something to show for it, it's not just you losing the creds it's everyone so porprtionally your not losting anything.

Well for people like me who does NOT sell there credits for 'real money' therefore i WOULD be loseing out.

I only buy things with my credits, psd's etc, therefore with 1000 credits i wouldnt be able to buy as many psd's as i would with my 4000 credits.

    Get me now?

    Now im going

But still, you will loose alot of, 'numbers', that ppl worked hard for. If you had 25,000 you felt special, but if you have 250 too show off with, everyone will go: "omg.. please.."

    See what i mean?

I don't think they would because if you had 25k and now only 2.5k then everone else has less that 1k so they'll respect you!

They can still do that.... I could try to charge 500 for a psd worth 100 but noone will buy it...

What about doing somehting like people can get a rating on each post/topic and if they get a good rating then thier awarded a few credits?

So if someone makes a nice prem tutorial they'll get rewarded creds but if someone just makes a random 2 word post they wont.
