  1. I work at Target, and we're obviously not going anywhere but up.

    Oh, Targét?

Indeed, that is one place you won't have to worry about being laid off.

hahaha I work there... they don't really do lay off unless you're higher up as said, well unless you're seasonal, but there it's assumed you're gone after xmas is over anyway...
though some higher ups are getting kinda worried... their jobs are at take.

I work in a small firm thing for two hours every weekday. They're hiring salary workers, so I think my part time stint will be ok. They haven't talked about laying anybody off and I'm fairly proficient.

I work at Kohl's, which has actually been doing better with the economy going down the toilet. If it keeps getting worse though, all our regulars will start going to Ross and Wal-Mart. I'm not terribly afraid of losing my job, we're a fairly profitable store being right off of the MAX line (light rail). Besides, in the summer I'll be working at a hospital as one of their photography interns, and after that I hope to get a real job as a photographer. I'll have gained a lot of experience from that internship, so it'll open up a lot of possibilities. Might have to do some odd-jobs to make ends meet though.

I ran in to some of my dad's former co-workers. They're scared to death of losing their jobs right now.
