Latest Trends . . .

maybe a bit weird but also a good point of discussing things in graphics.

im gonna start from the part where i start designing ( it was rather copy and paste sigs but what the hell )

it started out as a trend , now very much a standard. the multicoloring



besides all the whored renders the first thing crosses my minds is definately the movie borders. ah that was really a trend.

then we had the white text with a blur / glow i thought.

with that ^^ the alien league font use was very high

then we moved on to texts with reflection ( we had very good ones but most we're like really unreal )

hmmm what then ?

ow yeah , still in use . . . 'the sparkly effect' very effective and much in use



not to forget , the many text distortions and broken / destroyed letters attempt from the famous Burnout sig



let see what else beside the Street Fighter period and the Spidey period ?

im out . . . but if you have any latest trends or early trends . . . just mention

ow yeah , our very latest one , the pixel stretch ( or whatever , just caught up the word ) . . . wich i dont know f*ck how to do it but if you need example look for 2 minutes on GR.

i remember see i lot of tose white lines...um strips?? that light white strips...

 

Remember the butterfly period? And the halo one, errgh I hated that period.

 

Who here is up for speculation for what this period will be, at least, for renders? I think it's the era of the Advent Children, especially Cloud and Tifa

Also on the list is Solidious' motion blur sigs.


Btw, a pixelstretch is simple to do. Take the column marquee tool and select an edge of your render. Press Ctrl-C. Make a new layer and press Ctrl-V. Go to Edit - Transform - Scale, and drag one side all the way across to the edge of the canvas.

Theres the anime period, where kids have the need to put crappy art in their sigs.

 

I think popout sigs are next.

 

Pop outs have been and gone. I think it will stay abstract trend whore for a while now.

motion blur is on the up... definately blur

the so called "grunge" is SO whored... bored ----less

the slanted or path (PS:CS) text ... yay ! works sometimes, but usually a cheap excuse for proper textwork

All the ones I would note Rave. Typical trendwhores. I must admit though, I've tried a few of them.

The one I hate the most though, has to be the spiderman render period. That render .. urgh, I've seen so many, I hate that render, makes me want to kill someone.

Your forgetting the current "photomanip" peroid. It was cool at first now everybody has photomanip sigs.
