Laptop Problem

Well, I have a laptop and for some reason every 30 or so minutes it just shuts down, I turn it back on, its fine for about 30 or more minutes and boom, shuts down. Anyone know what it could be? I know its not the battery because I've tried to run it on battery and with the power plug on same result

 

are you sure everything inside it is in tight and in the correct spot.

 

Well, it was working fine before for like 6 months then it just started doing that, I haven't taken it apart or anything.

 

Possibly a virus? I had a virus like that before but it turned off my computer every 10 mins. Try a system scan or reformat. It might also be something with the power options.

Control panel > Power Options. Check if everything is the way it should be and no time limits on anything.

 

Might be a Capacitor on the motherboard they'll do it on Laptops and Desktops

 

it might be getting too hot. Laptops can get extremely hot if you dont cool them properly

 

Yeah that happened to my brother once, but he plays games on his.
