Was going for a "old book illustration" kind of style, ya' know. ;P

A bit bright, but the focal's good, and there's some nice effects and depth in there. I'd try balancing out the lighting a bit. Perhaps add a levels adj. layer and a B&W gradient map on luminosity.

Good work, though.

The lighting is off. (look at the giant lightsource on the left and the focal's face)

@ CI: There's a Lens Flare effect on the right side of her head.

 

Its nice but the left is way too bright, and I dont like the lens flare. Cool fx.

 

I know, i'm just saying that the other side of her face shouldn't be so dark because it conflicts with the lightsource on the left.

agreed. the left side is overpowering, i'd try toning it down a bit. other than that it's great! beautiful.
