    The Winner of this battle:

    - Be awarded 2, 500 credits and a Premium Membership.
    Rules:

    Finals Rules:

    - 3 renders are needed
    - The renders need to follow GR regulation (so no DA or CG-talk stuff unless you have a written permission).
    - The renders need to be new, you can used pre-mades but not pre-used renders.

    Renders will be judged on:

    Difficulty
Uniquness - How unique the render is (has it been done before)
    Usability
How Well The Image Has Been Cut
Size - NOTE This Is Not A Major Factor.

    Judges

Jay-Kesterlian has allowed voting to be public. Bu the reasons must be DETAILED and VALID.

Problem: Huy-N has sent me 3 Renders he has previously used in ROTY, however theirs no going around this... So I'm letting him off on the condition I will use One of my previous entrees.

First to 10 is the winner.
    7 - 0 = Knockout.

    ROTY Battle History:

    Kazuya: Wins 6 - Loses 0.
    Huy-N: Wins 5 - Loses 1.

Good Luck To Both Entrants! May The Battle Begin!

    ROTY BATTLE.

I think Kazuyas renders are slightly better.

EDIT: Expanding on my first comment.

Huy-N's renders are better in terms of difficulty to cut (exept Kazuyas dragon thing with the blue wings) , But I think Kazuyas renders are more useable in sigs and the fire effects on the Balrog are VERY Impressive and must have been hard to render. Also Kazuyas redners (Exept the Animie one) are quite unique and no-one would think of rednering them. For theese reasons I vote for Kazuya.

One more comment: All theese renders are AMAZING

Celtic - In other words it was made from scratch, as in like, just using the pen tool. Not cutted - The colouring, shapeing and drawing was all me. That oki?

I vote for Kazuya because i like the renders i think i could use any of them if i needed to and Huy-N work is a bit too game related for my tastes. Also from personal opinion i feel that kaz's renders are a lot more unique

GoodLuck to both of you btw

huy-n has already used them, so i relly think he should've used new renders, but it doesnt matter, cuz Kazuya's renders are better, and the 1 he drew looks gr8 too! and the rules said no pre-used, Huy-N's renders have been used b4,

First i would like to say to both renderer's well donr for getting so far in this competition you should be both very proud.

    Kazuya entry 1
great cut no flaws at all flawless cut. usability is very high and also nice size to use for lots of different things.uniqueness is very good i have only ever seen this render done by Kaz,difficulty is quite easy though i would give it a 5/10 only because of the flawless cut.

    Kazuya entry 2

another very nice cut cant see anything wrong with it very nice.usability is good although it has certain limits.size is very nice and usable.Uniqueness is very high only seen this one and one other.difficulty of the render i would give a 9/10 nice job well done.

    Kazuya entry 3
Well what can we say this render is the benchmark for all other renders cut very well although there is flaws you cant get away from the fact that this is the mother of all renders.Uniqueness high this is the only one i and i am sure anyone esle seen.Usability through the roof this can be used fro just about anything great size too and great work.Difficulty has got to be 10/10.

    Huy-n entry 1

another great cut very little wrong with it although there are flaws.Uniqueness is med i have seen this render and others like it quite a lot.difficulty i would give a 9/10 also nice size to use.usability is hight just about able to use this on anything great work great cut.

    Huy-n entry 2

Another great render and great cut nicely done.Uniqueness is very high i have again only seen this done by this renderer.Usability is ok but it has limits to what you can use it for size is good and difficulty i would say is a 9/10 depending on the technique used for this although i am assured its pen tool.great work and nice cut.

    Huy-n entry 3
nice cut again but has flaws and also i cant agree with the technique used for this render on parts of it.Uniqness is good only seen this a couple of times and difficulty i will give 6/10 but that is only because of the tequnique used for certain parts of it very nice size.

    My vote goes to

    Kazuya
overall better renders and more usability smoother cuts and great work but to both renderers awesome work and very well done you should both be very happy with the work you have both produced.

    Yep :P

Then, Kudos to Huy-n, but you have been out done....or have you? I can't decide

I'm still a bit iffy about your 1st peice being called a 'render' Kaz but it is mighty impressive as you can tell by the people who voted for it as if it was a normal render, then you pulled out perhaps the two most impressive premades ever. TO clarify on your first image, it just wasn't rendered, it's an outstanding peice of art but you didn't cut it out which is the whole point of rendering i belive anyway.

Huy-n I have to say that you are a top clas renderer as well but the reason you didnt get my vote is because there is nothing outstanding when stood next to that wee dragon thingy Kaz did.

This is a very long winded way for me to say that i null my vote, your both too good and i think it's unfair to pick one of you as a winner.

I'm going to use my old type of voting again. So here it goes:

    Kazuya:
    1. Goku Render:

    Mistakes
    - none

    Positive
    - The size is almost like the GFX-er’s wet dream.
    - It is flawless
    - It is made from scratch (you need to have skill to manage that)

    Negative
    - Although I like DBZ and goku, I don’t like to see this picture in a signature. I think it’s too cartoonish to create a nice sig with it.

Difficulty 9/10 (it's made from scratch FGS!)
Uniqueness 10/10 (it is the first time I’ve seen it)
    Usability 5/10
    Cutting 10/10 (flawless)
    Size 9.5/10

    2. Flamey dragon render:

    Mistakes
    - The flames appear to have bit of a darkish shadow

    Positive
    - Very good job on the flames, although they aren’t like perfect, they are still more then good enough.
    - Size is pretty good

    Negative
    - The picture is a bit “screenfilling* (see below for the meaning)”
    - The picture isn’t complete, it has cut-off wings, which makes it less usable

    Difficulty 9.5/10
Uniqueness 10/10 (I haven’t seen this rendered before)
    Usability 7/10 (too screenfilling)
    Cutting 10/10 (I couldn’t see any mistakes)
    Size 8.5/10

    3. “The Dragon” Render:

    Mistakes
    - The light-blue things have a dark shadow
    - A few spots have dark outlining* (look below for explanation)

    Positive
    - It’s like very unique.
    - Very good size
    - Effects make it more usable
    - The little mistakes don’t affect the usability or quality

    Negative
    - none

    Difficulty 10/10
    Uniqueness 10/10
    Usability 9/10
Cutting 9.5/10 (I managed to see some mistakes)
    Size 9.5/10

    Huy-n
    1. Shaiya Girl Render:

    Mistakes
    - Dark outlining on her right hand

    Positive
    - Very good picture choice
    - Very good size
    - Very nice “theme” of the picture

    Negative
    - You didn’t made the robe translucent, I know it sounds bitchy, but it is translucent on the original.

    Difficulty 9.5/10
Uniqueness 9/10 (have seen it 2 times before)
    Usability 9.5/10
Cutting 9/10 (the spots on her right hand are very easy to erase)
    Size 10/10

    2. Bull with sparkles render:

    Mistakes
    - Outlining on the bubbles, her face and on the bull itself
    - Dark shadow on the sparkles

    Positive
    - Sparkles look nice on a dark background
    - Easy to create a wallpaper

    Negative
    - The amount of sparkles makes it less usable

Difficulty 9/10 (just a lot of work)
    Uniqueness 10/10
Usability 7/10 (too much sparkles for my taste, it won’t look good in a sig)
Cutting 8.5/10 (there is a lot of outlining)
Size 8.5/10 (too much sparkles for my taste, it makes it screenfilling)

    3. Girl and skull:

    Mistakes
    - The skull and energy are cutted separately, The skull isn’t placed back on the good spot, you can see that it needs to be at least 10-20 pixels to the right.
    - Dark outline on the skull
    - Her right shoulder looks messy

    Positive
    - Decent size

    Negative
    - The picture isn’t complete (it’s cut off at the edges of the picture)
    - The glow and picture doesn’t match position
    - You missed to add the glow around her body
    - It has been done before

    Difficutly 6/10
    Uniqueness 7/10
Usability 6/10 (I don’t like to see this in a sig)
Cutting 7/10 (the glow isn’t placed correctly)
Size 7/10 (too much unusable spots)

    Average scores:

    Kazuya
    Difficulty 9.5/10
    Uniqueness 10/10
    Usability 7/10
    Cutting 9.8/10
    Size 9.2/10

    Huy-n
    Difficulty 8.2/10
    Uniqueness 8.7/10
    Usability 7.5/10
    Cutting 8.2/10
    Size 8.5/10

    • Screenfilling = the relation between empty background, and usable foreground. If there is very little background, then it will fill up most of your screen, which makes a render less usable. If there is a good proportion of background, then it will be less screenfilling, and you have the space to add a custom background, which makes it more usable.
    • Outlining = A small light or dark line around the edge of the picture. It is caused by the background. It can be erased really easy, but it’s pretty time-consuming.

Note, I didn’t count the possible use of extraction tool. I think that huy-n used it for his last 2 renders, but I’m not sure about that, if he did use that technique, then his total score for cutting, should be 2.0 points lower.

As you can see, it was a good battle. Both have high scores, but there can be only one winner.
    My vote goes to Kazuya.

I will have to say my vote goes to Huy-n.

Kazuya's are simply amazing, grealy cut, as are Huy-n's, but I really personally can't find Kaz's that useful. Huy-n's renders are in my opinion far more usable and more my type of thing.

    Good luck both :)
