Ok I'm weight lifting this summer. I'm 6"1 and 165lbs. I would like to gain some mass/muscle. Would this be a decent program to do so:

However, it lists lots of reps but it decreases it as you go along and the weight increases does that still tone or does it add mass? I also drink protein after every work out.

drink protein before it has a muuuuccchhh bigger effect but make sure and drink a lot of water because a lot of protein at one time is hard on your liver...
also that program is called a prymiad...you go up slowley then go back down...it works out your muscles a lot more...also try not to take big break between lifting...your muscle get tight an it hurts when you lift
    hope i helped

yea but will it build mass and muscle or is it more to tone and shape your body?

Just try it out and see for yourself. If you like the effects you are getting, then keep going, if not... then it's obvious you should try a different program. I've tried many, they come and go. I'm more into powerlifting though. Different programs work for different people.

speaking as someone who was actually so fit i used to do 1000 sit ups a day id say not to work to a program really... or if your going to make up your own

first of all the more reps you do at a less weight will not build muscle but slim down that area and make the muscle mass just get more toned at its current size

less reps at a high weight will build muscle even if you can only manage say 5 reps at a certain weight it will build more muscle than doing 20 reps at a weight you can easily handle

the way i used to exercise was to do all the major weights on a monday like benchpress uprightrowing curls and on the following day do pushups and lighter weights but you have to alternate between the 2 and exercise everyday if your going to do that lol

Well with my powerlifts, there will be days that I start off high, do as many reps as I can, rack it, take of a little, then repeat the process. That builds up decently as well.

I lifted for a while and never really gained much weight and it took me a while to get a lot stronger then i started using creatine gained 15 pounds in 2 weeks and in 1 month my lat pull down went from 3 reps of 10 at 170 to 3 reps of 10 at 250. As far as work outs go i always did 3 reps of 10 and just tried to work every muscle i could.
