Havent used it in a while im sure this is right Render > rander > file > save as > .jpg .png .tiff .gif etc... Correct me if im wrong.
close ^^ Render > Render Settings > Save then select what you want to save it as. Also if you do Render > Render Settings > Output, you can choose your size. EDIT: I found this file that I used when I first started using C4D... THIS IS NOT MY TUTORIAL - CREDIT GOES TO WHOEVER MADE IT... this is if you want to save it to open in PS (Any Version).
There are many ways Just depends what you are trying to do FOr renders the tut above is better for that method However if you are just making like a presentational image then a Qucktime PNG format , if animation file that you want to turn into a GIF then : Save render settings as quicktime movie big and choose save directory > Press CTRL+T to render and import into Imageready - Then save for web then GIF format Anymore hehe ... used c4d quite alot these weeks
