    the performance/W thing debateable both ways, both intel and AMD claim that based off difrent measures, I think intel uses less energy on the whole though... not sure though, it's compairing unreleased apples to oranges...

    performance wise that article is a bit off from reality and they fail to note that HT and direct connect allow the opterons to scale better. I will say that Woodcrest stil rpaes k8 on the whole though...

    what do you mean unreleased apples to oranges? the new xeon 5100 chips are out... they were debuted in new york.

    LMFAO... I love how they strip the whole damn page with AMD advertisements when they are talking about Intel. LMAO...

    well... for a bit when conroe is released...

    long term though it can only go down... intel's gone from 90+% marketshare to way lower, people have actually heard of AMD now...

    Define fanboy. I support Intel, but if the competing AMD processor is better and is just as good bang/$, ill get it.

    well intel is kinda dealing with their attempts to stifle devolpment throught their monopoly now, a sort of rebellion :)

    yep people area actually using amd as an option and intel is goinog down but conore hpes to change that
