I agree with the rhythm part. When I make a mix for something such as jogging or running, I tend to pick songs that have a rhythm to it. When I jog, they are moderately paced.. When I run, I tend to pick faster songs.. But that's just me... I wish you the best of luck in finding some good tunes to jog with.
I'd recommend Blaqk Audio...AFI's new side band. It's not very hardcore or metallic, it's got a nice techno feel to it.
i really hated rock but i gave it a listen and started to like it, you'd be surprise. Some songs that give me energya re songs from system of a down. Some are Deer Dance I.E.A.I.A.O. NUGUNS Chop Suey Toxicity and more..
You said no heavy metal / rock, but I am going to recommend it. Find the best head banging music you can find, and jump all around your house until you think yovue burned enough caleries as your morning jog does, then proceed to take advil.
Well, Panic! At the Disco isn't my favoooorite band.. but there songs would keep me motivated while jogging. ;D
