Not many people have a "Legal" copy... it's just really expensive for personal use. The price is suited more for small business's and what not.

 

But one the of the reasons it is so expensive is because people get illegal copies, thus pushing up prices because there are less sales.

 

probably 85% of all owners of photoshop have illegal versions... when it first came out it was expensive... if the price was low this wouldn't have happened...

 

the price is probably high because of artificial inflation in the market =/

I got mine with a persoanl edition of Windows XP Pro that has several programs installed on it when you install windows
So techincally I didn't rip the program... it came with windows

 

I got mine off of a friend as well... which he got off Kazaa... .

 

I had to buy ps 7... :|

But I got CS from my digital art teacher! *hugs*
