    I've never actually known this...

But is it counted as ripping if you take a stock out of another PSD and using it in your sig?

Not really, that'd be pretty stupid though, lol. But if they made the stock (highly unlikely) then that would be ripping.

KK. Tis just that I have a hell of alot of cool sigs for LR/PR/FR and they all have cool stocks in - I wanted to know if I could use those stocks for my own sigs.

Wasn't sure if it would count as layer ripping ^^

    Well thanks guys

layer ripping, if you take any layers from another psd

    No it's not...
As long as the stock has no edits to it.

Actually yes it is. Its called Layer Ripping. Even if it is a stock. Cause you never know if the stock is copy-righted. That is why ppl get accused for ripping when having the same size sig and etc

I reject your deposit sir. I could understand if they created the stock or know the person that did, but thats unlikely and if the creator doesn't want the stock being used then take it out of the PSD before sending it to someone.

ive done it in the past and would do it in the future if i didnt already have so many, the only stock photos that are off limits imo are ones on DA or ones that are pre-edited

After reading all of these, this is what I say:

It is only ripping if the person took the stock photo themselves.

If they downloaded it somewhere, then that must mean that it is public, so no, its not ripping.
