Is It Legal To Host Ipb 1.3?

    Is it legal to host the original ipb 1.3 zip on my site so that people can use it? if not is 1.3.1 legal to host? I wanted to know so that I can host it so people can use it :)

    i believe it is, as that is how invisionfree works (they dont pay for every board the setup, and they are allowed to host multiple online boards at a time). It is free licensed software i believe.

    You should be fine using it. Worst case scenario, check the TOS to be 100% sure.

    I just wanted to know if I can host the zip for 1.3.1...
    Now that I know that I can I will upload it later :)

    Host 1.3 isnt illegal 2.0x is illegal.

    No, and you need to get permission from Invision before doing so, and yes..they can and will sue if needed. They have legal representatives in well over fourteen countries.
