The thing is that firefox is configurated in a way from the begining. To only load a specific ammount of information at the same time. However if you got a good internet connection you can turn of this. To this by downloading

    "Tweak network settings"

    Get this from:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/

Then go to Tools->Tweak Network Settings
Select power and click okay. Things should be running alot faster now IF you got a good line.

All you need to do is some speed hacks to get it going faster for yah. Search for firefox using the search button and you will find some :)

edit: firefox loads most pages in an average time from .9 seconds to 2 secods.

o ok i do notice it takes a second or so longer but that isn't a big deal when all the pages load much faster.

I prefer firefox which is more convinient to use for me, plus it displays PNG which looks :censored: on IE.

Firefox is tweakable (about:config) unlike IE so when tweaked I find it wayy faster

Internet explorer loads faster because it's preloaded into your windows operating system. You can think of it as part of Windows XP.

Firefox seems the same to me, tabbed browsing and the security is nicer.

The only trouble I have with firefox is when viewing flash movies, the preloaders never show up, but it plays just fine after its all loaded.

    go figure
