Pretty much all of my friends have it. Personally I don't want one, I rarely use my ipod in the first place. But if you have money to burn, why not. Best use I ever got out of an ipod was playing doom on an old mini that I had modded.

I have a PSP and i really think tis better to have a PSP if u want to watch movies...you COULD fit a DVD on a 512 memory stick by using some different programs...or just buy 1 GB or 2GB...Search Amzon or other stores because the prices for those are going way down.
Perosnally PSP is better than Ipod in terms or battery life and features but ipod has a hard drive so ya..

if u really want it only for the vids its not worth it, the battery only lasts an hour or so when playing videos.

everyone is saying buy the psp and stuff, the thing is what you can do is this:

2 sticks of 4 gigs is all youll need. MOST (not all, but most) movies will be around 4 gigs, so you select a movie youd like to play and then you watch it that day and erase the movie and put a new one on there.

Also, the other 4 gig stick is for music (id need atleast 4 gigs) or w/e size youd need for music for a day. Simply switch out your songs. On top of that you have games, internet, etc.

I personally have the 30 gig iPod Video and i love it. About 17 gigs of it is music, then about 7 gigs is music videos and the last 6 gigs are full length movies that i change from time to time. Yes, the battery power doesnt last that long, but I simply plug it into my computer when I get home. Most of the time I only play music, so it lasts about 14 hours. Music videos last about 2 1/2 - 3 hours and a full length movie lasts about 2 hours continuously (enough for MOST movies).

Personally, if I had the choice I would have gotten a 20 gig older iPod from ebay for like $150 max and then got the PSP for movies, games, internet, etc.

    Just buy a PSP.
You can have movies on it and games and music.
Plus the screen is alot bigger  And I'm pretty sure its cheaper than the video..

Before Christmas I had this same problem (PSP or iPod Video). I got the iPod and it's ace. The video quality is mind blowing and the sound quality for the music is mental. UV Holla is correct about the battery times. Get an iPod Video.

I'd say that a video Ipod is worth it. My friend has one, and his life lasts about 2 hours watching videos non stop. The screen isisnt that small, and the quality is great. Go for it :D
