Not only can you use your iPod as a portable music player, you can also use it as a portable storage device. I've backed up pretty much all the graphics, and a couple programs I have on my computer onto my iPod.

And I'm also pretty sure what Titan said is true. After you convert the file about 3 times (.wma, .mp3, .acc), it will lose some sound quality. But with the iPod you can barely tell the difference.

I have an ipod and I must say it is one of the most ANNOYING PEICES OF CRAP IVE EVER ----ING OWNED EVER.

Let me first by saying a few things I HATE about the ipod.

    1. Itunes.

However convienent it may be, Itunes BLOWS in terms of doing 1 SIMPLE JOB. THAT JOB IS TO TAKE

    MUSIC (POINT A) to _________________________________ IPOD (Point B )

It shouldnt be so f*cking hard to move from POINT A to POINT B. The "update ipod" light is NEVER on when you want it to be.

    2. Itunes again

If you have songs on your computer on itunes, but your friend has songs on his computer on itunes, and you want some of his songs, It will make you ERASE all the songs in order to take their songs. And if you try to put the songs it erased back on your ipod from your house.. it ERASES THE SONGS YOU JUST PUT ON!! So you have to get them sent to you! ANNOYING.

Though I use my ipod often.. I have like 50 songs I want to put on it but I cant because they will erase the songs I already have on it.. so I have to stick with the ones I already have.

    My recommendation: GET SOMETHING ELSE.

    Sorry, rant. </endrant>

You have to use iTunes to put the songs that you either got from P2P or CD's onto your iPod.

    Idiot. [/b][/quote]
actually i think there is a plug-in for winamp that allows you to put your songs on your ipod from winamp
i used itunes because i could rip them for free but winamp makes you buy the $15 version
