Well, for a few weeks now, my connection's gone fairly...odd. Basically, people will send me a text and I won't get it till 12+ hours later, usually at 4am which is alwaaaays fun. It's not due to poor signal as far as I can tell, since it'll happen no matter where I am and not just at home. Unfortunately I've got no idea what's causing it, any suggestions? it's annoying me to the point I'm considering a new phone
Go to settings > General> Reset> reset network settings. Should do the trick. I send and receive over a thousand I'd go crazy if it was me.
i had this problem, as well as countless other problems.. every time i just took it back to the apple shop and got a replacement onsite, couldnt be bothered searching for ways to repair it myself.. shouldnt have to really. i also made them give me a new pair of earphones each time eventually i sold it and got myself a sony ericsson w995 which is great
Didn't work, still took 3 hours to get a text, and I don't think it's a signal issue really as it happens no matter where I am. Ringing O2 when they open tomorrow.
Hmm well that's the only thing you could do on your end as the iPhone doesn't let you see too many real settings. Contacting your provider is the only solution. You can also try loading the new 3.1 OS. Besides your apps, games, music (itunes stuff) it will reset everything to brand new. And if it still doesn't work then that's a phone issue. I don't know what O2 can do for you as they don't carry the iPhone and not sure what apple would as it isn't on their network.
O2 are the only people who provide the iPhone in the UK. And I'm on the new software. I'm going to get rid of Last.fm and see if it does anything.
Hmm I thought ATT was the exclusive carrier. That might be in the US though. If they are anything like ATT they will directly connect you to Apple who would handle the issue. They're awesome when it comes to customer service. Solved my issue in less than a minute when I called.
