    VB may cost more. but atleast its worth it.

    IPB, better security, better looking. Also it has better mods, and I find it easier to skin, phpbb completely sucks to be honest, it looks like crap and it can be hacked by anyone in about 30 seconds of work, plus I know IPB inside out so I can do much more with it.

    phpBB is really easy, but it is even easier to make a simple machines forum like mine (www.hosser.co.uk/hammspam) go on that if your interested!

    Phpbb is exploited too easily but its good for begginer forums

    I am most familar with it, and i like it more.

    im more familliar with IPB but VBulletin is also good

    I use IPB, it's powerful, easy to understand and much mods etc.
