I need to know how to make IPB 2.0.4 do email validations or how to control all of that. What do you do? Because right now all they have to do is register and no email is sent. How do you set all that up to protect your site?
That is because I wanted it open for when people came plus I didnt instsall IPB a friend did. And 2nd there has to be a way to change it but how?
well there should be an admins section, which is where it most likely would be. just look around there and you should be able to find a place to change it

Yes it is legal, I got someone to get it for me. it is licenced. I looked all around the admin thing I dont see it anywhere.
jesus ----ing christ, he asked a question, no need to ride his ass asking if its legal or not... System Settings > Security and Privacy > Security (Troublesome Users) section, you will see the option New registration email validation? with a drop down menu, choose the setting you want and save.
