I used IPB 2.0 about 4 months ago ago, added a skin, and cant remember how to do it... of course I had .:[R]:. helping me.. but hes not on now, so I'll turn to you.. nevermind, .:[R]:. did it for me..
Sorry to bring this to your attention, BFTP, Nice list, but #2 IS illegal. Quote from IPB Terms of Service.
I need some help eh! I have a nice skin, all uploaded and pretty. One problem though, the buttons are GERMAN. Sure enough we can work with it. I do have an english button folder though, that came with the skin. How can I upload that without having to install each button manually then reinstalling the skin?
let's see if i can remember this right. upload your english buttons in the same directory as your german ones. go to ftp or cpanel and go to www/forumfolder/skin/s1(or whatever one your current theme is on) click on skin_global.php and find where the buttons are located, about 3/4 of the page... just change the button name for each button. should look like this: Code: <td align="right"> }'>[img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_home.gif[/img]</a><a"]base_url}act=Search&f={$ibforums->input['f']}'>[img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_search.gif[/img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_members.gif[/img]</a><a"]base_url}act=calendar'>[img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_calendar.gif[/img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_arcade.gif[/img]</a><a"]base_url}act=store'>[img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_store.gif[/img]<a href='{$ibforums->base_url}act=Help'>[img]{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/atb_help.gif[/img]</a> </td> </tr> </table> <div id='logostrip'> <img src='{$ibforums->vars['img_url']}/logo4.gif' alt='Powered by Invision Power Board' border="0" /> </div> EOF; }
yea, that would work too... only if the files were called the same name. Question: In IPB 1.3.1, where do you go to edit your smilies in the ACP? I'm so used to 2.0, it flips my head when I went back to 1.3...
Ok i got the reputation mod they use here on GR... but it only displays the persons reputation! it doesnt have the + or - ... anyone know how to fix that!
