In order to install mods on your IPB, you need to have an FTP program and good understanding of how to use it (for uploading and downloading files). You also need to have at the minimum, a basic understanding of editing PHP files. That should be simple enough because all mods come with instructions, but if you do even the slightest thing wrong in the way of editing or uploading to the wrong spot, you can mess everything up.
I know first hand that a simple mistake (adding the code twice to index.php) will cause errors. I tried the arcade and store by myself and missed simple things both times. Good thing I had help to figure them out.
